Morley has 30+ years’ of leading cutting-edge technological development at multi- billion-dollar research enterprises that include government and academia. He brings this vast technical and leadership experience to accelerate the deployment and integration of Mined XAI’s explainable artificial intelligence solutions across a variety of disciplines.
Morley directs the company’s strategic vision, incorporating input from Mined XAI’s Board of Directors and C-suite colleagues. He has established the company’s culture of openness and prioritizing our employees. Morley has a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from Wright State University and a PhD in Biochemistry from Carnegie Mellon University.
Morley enjoys traveling to the Rocky Mountain states for outdoor activities, getting daily exercise and grilling on the weekends.
Since Ryan founded Mined XAI in 2020, the company has grown exponentially under his leadership. Ryan works collaboratively with our customers to discover meaningful insights in their complex data challenges that provide customized solutions for enhancing return on investment. With 20+ years of federal service within the Air Force Research Laboratory, Ryan has conceptualized, developed, and built new paradigms in explainable artificial intelligence for applications that span almost every data type and numerous use cases.
Ryan has a Bachelor’s in Biology, a Master’s in Molecular Biology, and a Ph.D. in Molecular Genetics with a focus on systems biology and bioinformatics. Ryan has pursued machine learning and explainable artificial intelligence solutions for complex and large datasets since finishing his degree in 2013.
Ryan owns the company mascot, E.L.E. dog (abbreviation for Extinction-Level Event), who can often be found in the office greeting everyone who walks through the door. He is an avid bourbon collector, Dunkin’ coffee fan, and enjoys good cuisine either dining out or cooking at home.
Rajesh has 15+ years of Science & Technology leadership within the Department of Defense and oversaw the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Human Performance, Aerospace Operational Medicine, and Biotechnology programs. At Mined XAI, he is responsible for business strategies and plans, implementing and monitoring operational functions, and building strategic partnerships.
Rajesh earned a Doctorate from Carnegie Mellon University in Biological Sciences, a Master’s from Duquesne University and a bachelor’s from the University of Bombay. In his free time, Rajesh enjoys spending time his family, playing pickleball, and watching football and cricket. Go Steelers!
Kyle conceptualizes, develops and oversees the execution of our software solutions and XAI architectures while actively engaging with the executive team for strategic alignment. He ensures Mined XAI continues to exceed our customer’s expectations while focusing on future intellectual property. Kyle has been at the forefront of revolutionizing topological computational approaches for applications that have been recognized both nationally and internationally.
Kyle has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering from Miami (Oxford) University. When not working, Kyle enjoys reading, flying, exercising and playing with his dogs. He lives his life by Yoda’s motto: “Do or do not; there is no try.”
As CTO, Christopher will identify technological and developmental requirements for customer delivery and manage execution of strategic technical development to meet customer requirements and solution enhancements. He is developing forecasting systems and end-to-end deep topological approaches geared toward large-scale machine learning, inference, and explainability. Christopher's research interests are designing scalable and explainable probabilistic models of multimodal data, Bayesian nonparametric models, and Bayesian deep learning.
Christopher has a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL). He also earned his Master’s at MIT in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and his Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering from The Ohio State University. In his spare time, Christopher enjoys cycling, brewing beer, baking, and traveling.
At Mined XAI, Brad is leading a team of research scientists to develop topological data analysis techniques to bring customized solutions to our customers’ cutting-edge problems. Brad is from Dayton, Ohio, and obtained his Bachelor's degree from Wright State University. He has spent most of his career building Machine Learning projects for the Air Force Research Laboratory and the Joint AI Center.
When Brad is not working, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and spending time outside with his family and golden retriever.
Chris Chia is an Operational Analyst at Mined XAI. Chris’ research interests are fixed-point theory, category theory, and topological data analysis. Chris works on a variety of projects supporting our business intelligence vertical.
He has a bachelor’s in mathematics from Johns Hopkins University and a master’s in mathematics from Binghamton University. In his spare time, Chris enjoys reading classic novels, cooking, and going on walks.
Cooper Hickmott is a Full-Stack Engineer at Mined XAI and brings his expertise to enhancing our dashboards with compelling, intuitive, and insightful user experiences for our customers. Cooper has earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Computer Science from the University of Michigan. His blend of academic knowledge and practical experience positions him uniquely to contribute to our mission of making complex data understandable and actionable for our users.
Cooper enjoys watching and playing sports, reading science fiction and fantasy books, and being outside and active in a variety of pastimes. He is a good cook and also loves animals.
Emily’s recent project work is focused on providing data analysis to help community resource organizations make more informed decisions in how to fulfill their mission. Her insights into how to help under-served communities will affect the lives of many in Dayton, Ohio, and nationally. She also works on Mined XAI’s Measurement Insights and Process Optimization vertical on the chemical analysis of food products to ensure their authenticity and quality.
Emily obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management and her Master’s in Business Analytics from the University of Cincinnati. As the company dare-devil, Emily was part of the hang-gliding club during college. Now she enjoys hiking, swimming, reading, and trying new restaurants and experiences.
Kelly serves as a liaison with Mined XAI’s customers to help with communication and project timelines. She builds strong relationships with our customers, so programs run smoothly, and everyone is up-to-date on progress and deliverables. Kelly also helps with Mined XAI marketing and business development.
Kelly has a Bachelor’s in Communication from the University of Dayton and a Master’s in Corporate Communication from Duquesne University. She enjoys anything that involves her dog, who you might see snoozing in the background on zoom calls.
Here at Mined XAI, Kenneth leads projects primarily focused on scientific research and measurement optimization. He has been developing techniques for understanding complex chemical spectral data such as NMR and GC and applying these techniques to problems in chemometrics and food science. He also explores novel algorithms in computational topology and Topological Data Analysis, such as with simplicial complex construction algorithms and applications of Morse theory.
Kenneth received his Bachelor's in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from Wright State University. He spends a lot of his free time making craft cocktails, taking walks, and trying to keep himself in a perpetual state of learning through self-study in mathematics and philosophy.
Maygen wears so many hats she is the glue that holds Mined XAI together. On any given day, she might be working on financials, planning a company off-site meeting, or ordering give-aways for a conference. She keeps the office humming so everyone else can focus on their responsibilities, safe in the knowledge that nothing is falling through the cracks.
Maygen’s 20+ years of experience in administration makes her the perfect individual to support Mined XAI’s fast-paced growth. As a mom of two, Maygen is used to juggling a multitude of tasks, and she uses that experience to make Mined XAI a great place to work. When she is not at the office or with her family, you might find her on the back of a horse enjoying the outdoors.
Saad Khalid is a Senior Operations Analyst at Mined XAI and brings his extensive Machine Learning experience to developing forecasting architectures that are foundational to several of our business verticals. Saad’s passion is to utilize topological methods to create state-of-the-art Machine Learning architectures that outperform the standard neural network approach in generalized intelligence tasks like vision and language.
He earned a PhD and master’s from The Ohio State University with research focused on the intersection of topology and the quantum many-body problem. In his spare time, Saad enjoys reading fiction and philosophy, developing fantasy or sci-fi themed video games that involve strategy and exploration, and discovering new restaurants and coffee shops.
Tristan focuses on creating graphical tools that assist our customers in analyzing and understanding data. He works on internal desktop applications, 2D and 3D visualizations, and customer-facing web dashboards.
Tristan earned his bachelor's degree in Interactive Media Arts at New York University Shanghai. Aside from his interest in computer technology, Tristan also enjoys reading, playing games, seeing art exhibits, and learning and making languages.
At Mined XAI, Wes serves as a key focal point for data wrangling, processing, and writing customized code for back-end Topological Hierarchies. He also maintains the data pipelines for Mined XAI’s forecasting projects for the Business Intelligence and Logistics vertical.
Wes earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Computer Science from Wright State University. In his spare time, he likes to travel and design and develop video games. He also watches Counter-Strike from an analytical perspective looking for developing trends.
E.L.E. — standing for "Extinction-Level Event" pronounced "Ellie" — is Mined XAI’s official happiness spreader. She is our company greeter, bounding to the front door to meet everyone with a super-excited grin on her face. She is always available for a hug or a pet. If you give her a snack, she will be your best friend for life. She functioned as our first HR support team member, but had to step down due to excessive begging and invading people’s personal space.
E.L.E. can often be found napping on the couch or under desks hoping some food might drop her way. She jazzes up the office with her holiday-inspired collars, and her goofy smile that never fails to brighten your day.
